Would you like to know how you can build your credit score in 6 months or less? The short answer is you can do that by paying your credit cards on time. You can take your credit from a 460 score to a 720 credit score in 4-6 Months that’s just a massive jump, and you can increase it quickly, so let me show you how to get it done.
1: Know what is on your report
If you want to fix your credit, you first need to get your credit report to know what is on your account. Thankfully, there’s a fast and easy way to do this. Equifax, one of the three major credit reporting agencies, offers a free online credit report summary. So what you have to do is give them a call or visit their website. The link will be in the description below.
Tell them you want a free report. THEY WILL TRY TO GET YOU TO PAY, BUT YOU DO NOT HAVE TO. ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY IS THE WORD FREE. They’re going mail that free report to you, or to make it easier, you could sign up for a free account over at my.Equifax, I’m gonna put the link in the conclusion below. So you can sign up for a free account, or when you call them, ask them how you can get the free report – they’re going to show you to access your free information online.
Now you are going to look at what’s holding you back from the perfect score. You’re going to go over everything step-by-step and read every single one to make sure you understand what is going on.
2: Pay the bills on time
Pay attention to what is holding you back. Understand these details, and work to remove them. You need to get your debt under control, especially credit card bills. Making consistent payments prevents further damage. In addition, collections can hold you back from getting a credit card which is very important for building credit.
3: Get a credit card
It doesn’t have to be an unpaid credit card. It could be a secured credit card. What does it mean to have a secured credit card? Basically, the company is willing to give you half of the money, but you have to put the other half or if your credit is terrible, say you don’t meet their standards, then they will only give you 10% of the amount.
A secured credit card is an excellent way to start building your credit. I recommend getting one even if you have bad credit because the entry/barriers tend to be much lower than those of other cards, and by making your payments on time, you can improve your score over time.
4 Only use 25-35% of your credit line
It’s best to stay within the 20 to 25 percent range. If you use more than 30 percent of your credit line, it will be a red flag.
Creditors are not going to see that as a bad idea to lend you any money, and they’re gonna think that you don’t understand how credit works, and they’re not going to lend you any money. So if you want to open a personal or business credit card, they will turn you down immediately. So I would say use only 25 percent of your available credit.
Conclusion
With these tips, I’m sure you now have a better chance of having a more than perfect credit score. Credit takes time – give yourself at least 6 months to a year to achieve the desired result.
